Collection II - Roots of the Ancestors

Black · Short Sleeve · Graphic · Roots of the Ancestors

Minimal Color front. Full-color Carnival on the back. The contrast hits different.

Pure darkness meets pure celebration. The masquerade dancers erupt from absolute black in ribbons of green, gold, and red. Mourning and festival on the same jersey. African heritage and Caribbean joy — inseparable.

What's On This Jersey

  • Full-color Carnival masquerade explosion — entire back panel against black base
  • Vivid green, gold, red costume ribbons and towering headdresses
  • Brimstone Hill cannon in foreground — masquerades commanding the space above
  • Clean black front — the silence before the explosion
  • Diagonal sash — green, gold, red flag stripe across chest
  • RFP crest badge with two gold stars above
  • Green, gold, red ribbed V-neck collar and cuffs

The Name

Carnival After Dark is built on a tension that every Kittitian understands instinctively — the contrast between darkness and explosion. The name holds two worlds simultaneously: the deep, ancestral weight of black as the color of African heritage, and the unstoppable, joyful eruption of Carnival culture that has defined Saint Kitts and Nevis for generations. After dark is not simply a time of day. It is a threshold — the moment when the day's restraint falls away and something truer, older, and more powerful takes its place. Caribbean Carnival lives after dark. So does the deepest expression of who this people are.

The Color

Black in the Saint Kitts and Nevis flag is not absence. It is foundation. It represents the African heritage of the people — the ancestors who were brought to these islands in chains, who built everything with their hands, who kept their culture alive through music, dance, and tradition even when it was forbidden. Black is the ground everything grows from. It is the deepest form of pride. And against that depth, the Carnival dancers on the back of this jersey detonate in full color — green, gold, red — the colors of the flag, the colors of freedom, the colors of a people who refused to let anything extinguish them.

The Design

The collision at the heart of this jersey is its power. A black base so dark it absorbs everything. Then suddenly, on the back, the Carnival masquerade figures appear in full, explosive color. Green ribbons. Gold headdresses. Red costumes. The street behind them dark and glistening. The cannon of colonial history lying in the foreground, dwarfed by the dancers who have claimed the space above it. It is midnight and festival at the same time. Mourning and celebration in the same breath. That is what Carnival After Dark means — the ancestors' darkness becomes the stage on which their descendants perform the most joyful, most defiant act imaginable.
