Pure black. Then you turn it around, and the ancestors are dancing.

The colonial record left them out: the enslaved and the unnamed, who carried their culture across an ocean and kept it breathing through centuries of suppression. Festival of the Forgotten puts them at the center of the island's greatest celebration.

The front stays black, broken only by flag-color stripes on both arms and a poinciana blooming red at the lower right. The back is the testimony. The full masquerade dances in vivid color against absolute black, with Basseterre's streets and landmarks behind it and the colonial cannon below. The forgotten, remembered.
